Hi, I’m Miranda!

I’ll start off this introduction with the classic college icebreaker and tell you 3 things that I absolutely love.

​

1. Riding around on dirtroads in my brothers truck with my family
    

2. Harry Styles and John Mayer
    

3. Cups. I have a whole bookcase full of cups, mugs, tumblers, and water bottles in my apartment. I can’t tell you why, I just know I love cute cups.
    

Okay, now to the fun backstory.
 

Mevelyn Designs began when I went to college at Georgia State University. I was majoring in journalism, but had to take a graphic communications class as part of my curriculum. I had never done graphic design before, but after that class I was absolutely hooked.

I had always loved painting, and minored in two dimensional art, but creating in the digital space was completely new and so exciting to me.

I started doing freelance projects for family and friends who were starting businesses and helping them create logos and brand guides.

 

I saw an opportunity to combine my love for art and marketing into a branding business, and Mevelyn Designs was born.

​

The name Mevelyn comes from my first and middle name, Miranda Evelyn. Since I started my business my passion for empowering businesses and brands with strong brand materials has grown exponentially.

​

It’s one thing to design something beautiful for someone, and it’s a whole other thing to design something that is actually engaging and use it to your advantage.
